Tribeca is situated on the Lower West Side, as signified by its
name, short for Triangle Below Canal. The affluent neighborhood is
comprised of streets lined with cast-iron warehouses that have been
converted into spacious loft apartments alongside luxury condo buildings. A
mix of residential and commercial living, Tribeca is a quieter spot than its
neighbor, Soho, but still boasts some of the trendiest nightspots, art
galleries and restaurants. Tribeca is a huge draw to professionals and
includes many families, thanks in part to its excellent schools and
proximity to Hudson River and all that it has to offer. Its accessibility
to the Financial District also makes it an ideal locale for Wall Street
wizards and the ability to own such open, sprawling spaces in Manhattan
makes it a realized dream, albeit a pricey one, for those who can afford
