I am writing to express my very sincere appreciation of the services provided by your two downtown agents, Gus Georgiades and Vasile Mihailescu. I recently rented my East Village apartment through ArdorNY, thanks to the extraordinary help I received from Gus and Vasile. I want to take a couple of minutes to describe why I found their services exemplary.

I first met Gus when I made an appointment with him to see an East Village apartment.  I decided not to put in an application on that particular apartment, and Gus was very good at asking me about my concerns in order to find a better match for me. Let me clarify that he did *not* put any pressure on me to take the apartment that I didn't like (which is much more than I can say about the brokers from other realty agencies!).  He merely listened to my apartment needs so that he could check the listings further when he got back to the office, and see if he could find me a better match.

Throughout the few days following this encounter, Gus and Vasile gave me constant updates on their listings and listened patiently to my concerns.  Finally an apartment became available that was perfect for me, and they promptly notified me of this opportunity and showed me the apartment.  I immediately decided to put in an application, but was afraid that the paperwork would be an obstacle. Thanks to Gus and Vasile, it wasn't. Vasile gave me a very clear description of all the documents I needed, one by one.  I was worried about getting rejected because I was only just starting a job in New York.  Vasile carefully walked me through the process of obtaining the necessary paperwork from my guarantor.  Once all the documents were in place, he promptly submitted my application for approval, and I got the apartment within the same day! I was ecstatic, as I had seen the apartment in the morning, and was ready to sign a lease by the evening!

I would like to point out that both Gus and Vasile were extremely professional.  Brokers from other real estate agencies were playing the high-pressure salesman, trying to get me to increase my budget limit.  They were showing me apartments that were $300-$400 above the upper limit I had specified.  Even worse, they were showing me apartments that were falling apart, and trying to convince me that I should rent them.  Gus and Vasile never put any pressure on me, never rushed me, and respected my budget limit without question. Their professional conduct and speedy application process were extremely impressive.  Not only did they respect my needs and constraints, they did it with a cheerful attitude -- even when I couldn't keep up my end of the cheerfulness because I was completely panicking that I wouldn't be able to find an apartment! 

One last point I would like to make is that I knew the ArdorNY difference for sure when I was with a broker from a different real estate agency, and we happened to be walking by an exclusive ArdorNY building (the one I rented in, actually!).  The broker commented, "Look how well-kept that building is -- that's because it's kept by Ardor; they are a very good real estate agency". And he said this of his own initiative, without any questions or prompting from me!  If even the competitors are full of praises for ArdorNY, I knew I would be in good hands with your brokers!

I would like to express again my appreciation of the professionalism displayed by your downtown agents Gus and Vasile.  I will be recommending them to my friends without the slightest reservation.
